Default Thoughts on original Magnesium TTs

I am mildly tempted to buy this set of magnesium Torq Thrusts and restore them for one of my cars. I understand the theoretical issues with fatigue and porosity, but have never owned a set of vintage mags. For those of you who have vintage magnesium wheels on your cars, can you give me some first-person accounts of your experiences? I am willing to deal with having to air up the tires before a drive, but I'm not sure how fragile they really are, and whether that takes them out of the equation for street driving. Thanks!
