In 2016 I purchased a 302 MO block from a shop in Florida. I had been assured the block was good, recently machined, Heads and crank were done. There were no pistons and all parts were paletted and shipped to me. Block ID is V0711MO
My local machine shop finally got around to a rebuild in January and found the block was cracked. So I am in the process of going after the Florida shop, but in the mean time, is this block salvageable in any way, I.E a bottom end cap and cradle system to convert this to a 4 bolt. Assuming the later is not available, is this block now junk. Here is a shot of the magnaflux image. ![]()
