Glue for inspections stickers

I've got an original PA inspection sticker for my 65 and wanted to put it on my car. The glue is old and not tacky at all. Can anyone recommend something that they have used to glue a sticker on without messing with the printed image?

I realize I could tape it on, but it wouln't look as authentic.
