A bud is trying to find the formula on the 50th Gold, ( wheels, HL Bezels, Grills)
Long running question. I’ve seen high dollar restos use the wrong gold, see Dayton pic below, recently bought a nOS bezel, so now the paint can be matched. Anyone else been through this? Spray outs and mix sample is being done now. Pic below is Deff wrong gold.

those definately look way too "orange" / gold however i was into these cars when new and have owned numerous ones over the years (still have 5 or 6 of them) and there were 2 different shades of the gold. one was noticeably darker than the other. same went for the dash bezels.

I gotta get into this for my grills on my Y88. I have no idea what gold goes on them. I’ll prob do the same, look for a nOS part and match it. The 78 SE gold may be on the chips I don’t know. I have a nOS flake wheel, but it’s in the gray. Sine I don’t do shows I wasn’t worried about the match. My current grills are the y88 gold
