When the Datsun 240Z was introduced in 1970, it became an instant success, and an instant classic in the process!

Nothing like it had really ever been seen from a Japanese manufacturer before. The lines were sleek, and sensational! The power was good, and the handling great! The fun factory with these “Z cars” was on 11! They were excellent then. And remain excellent and very collectible to this day!

Gradually, over the years, the car was improved with more power, and options. Making it one of the most sought-after sports cars available on the market today!

We seldom run across an example as pristine, and original as the 260Z presented here! With only 48k original miles on the odometer, this Z is about as correct and well preserved as they come!

I had a 70 Datsun 2000 Srl roadster as my everyday driver. That was a fun car everyday car, I owned my 69 RS/Z and a 67 Corvette L79 roadster.

The Datsun 2000 roadster were 5 spd with 7k redline and beat heck out of that car. I spun a bearing and blew the rear. Eventually I replaced it with a 1976 280Z, which was much more practical .

Fast forward 2005, I purchased a 67.5 Datsun 2000 which are very rare and desirable. I owned that a short time and lost interest.
