That is what I was wondering Mike. I didn't look at them all that closely, but told Sherri they were awful light, and may be aluminum.

I may just straighten them the best I can and have them plated locally.

If the clear anodizing is coming off, they will look splotchy/ milky and will be difficult to polish, oven cleaner will remove the clear anodizing then you can polish them and then have them clear anodized or constantly polish them, however as stated earlier the repro spears are spot on.

Couldn't think of a good personalized tag.
Ran across this one on ebay. I also bought the 1977 version of the same tag, and can put it on front if I want.
In OK you can run a vintage tag. The state gives you a small decal that must be displayed in the lower left corner of the windshield.
Thought it was fitting for a first gen Z, and since I bought the car from my brother in 76, a 76 tag works for me.

I have posted a few pics on other threads, but thought I would update this one.

Installed my NOS rear bumper. Got a great deal from a member here.

It isn't perfect; just what you would expect for a period correct NOS chrome bumper.
Really happy with it. Will be listing the original bumper for sale here. Has a very slight bend and some scratches. Would be perfect for a survivor type car.

Two of my original bumper bolts were missing. Will post an ad in "parts wanted". Don't want to buy reproduction.

Also got the booster and master cyl back from White Post. Got them installed, the other evening after work, but forgot to take pics. Will do so next time I have it on the ground with the hood up.

Have decided to build the original 302 and re-install it. Hasn't been in the car since 1996!!!! Also plan to remove the subframe connectors, the traction bars and the poly bushings in the rear. Despite lubing the crap out of them with silicone grease, they squeak like crazy! Have NOS bushings to install. While assessing the rear, I noticed that the inside of the right side spring perch is starting to separate. The weld is cracked. I guess i launched too many times with the big rear tires and traction bars. Didn't think I was hooking that well. Such is life.
