Default 65 L78 Corvette

I bought this car a year ago while the body was on a Street Shop C4 frame, built 454 and a Tremec 5 speed. Part of the deal was the original engine, rear end (replacement correct 65 Muncie) restored to NCRS spec complete chassis with NOS side pipes and NOS knock offs with rechromed original spinners.
The past owner was a good local NCRS friend of mine of 30 years and helped me restore my 67 L79 convertible which went on to win a NCRS national top flight.
I am pleased that we have this car back together on its original chasis. The paint is one lacquer repaint of several years ago. Not perfect but plays the part.

my father in law had one of the first 65 l78 corvettes built. it was a maroon with saddle coupe. he drove it out cross country to california, stopping throughout thr trip with my mother in law. i have a pic with him and her in the car at the grand canyon with a bear sitting on the hood. i have to find it.
