1969 Z/28 Camaro AD early 15X7 rally wheels - 1968 match dated set of 4 rims K18 9 20
Hi Gang, super, SUPER RARE treat available here.
A full set of FOUR EARLY AD coded & perfectly match dated Z28 Z/28 ralley rally rims wheels here, see photos below. Each is dated K18 9 20 - september 20, 1968 for very early Z production cars. 15X7 These were recently, and literally, uncovered during the restomod of a legitimate 302 car - you can see decades of dust and whatnot on them including remnants of the blue tarp... The fifth (spare) rim was already lost long ago I was told. These wheels are in very, very original shape - and, as life long California parts, they are as nice and pit free as you'd expect. One has some blistering surface rust inside of the hoop, but the front and back sides are very nice as shown and these rims will certainly clean up perfectly, IMHO. They are straight and spin true; the ancient tires were just removed today. No issues with the beads either, each held air until today. Early AD coded wheels are rare as we all know, and to find a never separated set of four that have been together for more than 55 years is unheard of. Look at the photos again, I have included a lot of pictures to give the best representation of them; these are a treasure and definitely befitting the restoration of a late 1968 built early production 1969 Z/28 - or better yet, to return to a survivor car - and being an old finish, you see exactly what you're getting, nothing hidden behind a fresh coat of paint. You also want the correct AD shape of the center section and window openings - these are different than the later YH versions... These are a great, untouched foundation on to which build a perfectly restored set of four rare wheels. lug holes nice and not wallowed out, no significant curb rash or dings and bends. No trim rings or caps were found with them. I only lightly scuffed around the valve stems to confirm and photograph the codes. These are NICE and you will not be disappointed and we'll likely never see another date matched set. As mentioned, they are more than 55 years old and have been a set for their whole existence; this is not a pieced together group of four. Local pick up preferred in Southern California, but I will ship & insure at actual cost if needed. These are certainly worth it for the right car. Cheers Friends, Anthony |
