I agree that is a great number
but we will never know how much higher it could have gone had it been corrected.

Grill probably made zero difference. Most folks aren’t as ‘pursist’ as folks here. Some may even like it better black !

Congrats on the sale !

Can someone please estimate for me, the cost of repainting the grill to the correct factory configuration? Just a guess, please

to do it, remove front bumper, remove head lamp covers, remove grill mounting screws and bolts. Sand all grids, outter and inner surround. Paint bone color whole grill, they follow up argent silver on the grids, then orange on the surround areas with light overspray. sand and spray lamp covers same grill silver.

sand and buff orange, reassemble .....

hours to do so plus paint match on the orange.

anyone care to throw some hours at it - bone color matches the orig silver grills, core plastic color. - IMO only - - dont shoot the estimater!

id estimate 5-6K to do a high quality job....50 hrs worth

I think most shops could do this in 3 days. ( I know I could). My guess would be about 2.5 to 3k. Jmho

Tough to find a shop that knows the correct factory finishes though.

Alternatively - find an orig silver grill with the bone plastic (1500-2000K) and go that route, still need to disassemble and repaint & detail out nicely. i sold two the HBC.......he has a few.
