This attractive 1991 Mercedes- Benz 560 SEC Sport Coupe has just 56,355 original miles and is show quality condition. It was awarded second place at The Boston Cup classic car show in Boston, MA in 2023. The 560 SEC was the top of the line S-coupe manufactured between 1986 and 1991. It was admired by automotive enthusiasts worldwide as a modern grand-touring coupe with the pedigree of Mercedes-Benz. It became even more recognizable for playing a part in the famous movie “Roadhouse” with Patrick Swayze and Sam Elliott which was released in 1989. From the information gathered on the Mercedes-Benz VIN Decoder, this vehicle was approximately built in November of 1990. It had an (147U)- Arctic White with (68)- Gray exterior and (268)- Gray leather interior. It was ordered with the following options in number order: (291)- airbag for front passengers, (300)- storage box in front tray, (301)- ashtray package, (340)- additional 3rd stop lamp, (406)- single seat with orthopedic front seat backrest left and right, (461)- instrument with miles, (471)- acceleration skid control, (491)- U.S. version, (524)- paintwork preservation, (540)- rear window electric roller blind, (551)- anti-theft warning system, (581)- automatic climate control, (592)- heat-insulating glass all-around and heated rear window pane, (639)-elimination of first-aid box, (757)- Becker radio group, (801)- change of model year, (810)- sound system and (873)- seat heater for left and right front seats. As the clean Car Fax report indicates this vehicle was sold new in Florida and leased by its first owner. The leasing company address was in Atlanta, GA as indicated. From the information gathered this vehicle remained with the original owner until 2020. Over the 19 year time frame the original owner moved to multiple times to different states and purchased the lease. The second owner lived in Reno, NV and purchased the car with roughly 54,900 original miles. The car was sold to the third owner who lives in Mashpee, MA on May 31, 2022 with roughly 55,500 original miles. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased the car from the third owner in May of 2023 with 56,355 original miles. This is the first time it's been listed for sale.

The exterior of this example is truly remarkable especially considering its 33 years old. The beautifully designed body is free of any dents or dings. The factory original Arctic White paint is in excellent condition and was recently detailed to a show quality shine. The paint was tested with an electronic paint meter by MS CLASSIC CARS and it passed as factory original as shown. The Arctic White is complemented with its factory original Gray painted accents found on the mirror covers, front bumper, door handle covers, lower cladding and rear bumper. The factory equipped power sunroof and antenna are both in working order. It retains all of its factory stamped original glass of which is the rear window was tinted. Everything on the exterior is in excellent original condition such as the aluminum glass trim and body moldings, chrome grille, headlights, front bumper, taillights and rear bumper. The car rolls on authentic Mercedes-Benz AMG monoblock 17” wheels part #HWA-2024010102. The wheels are wrapped with Continental ContiProContact tires that are 215-50-17 on the front and 245-45-17 on the rear. From the information gathered the tires were replaced in 2020 and have roughly 2000 miles on them. A Viper keyless remote system was added at some point and it's in working order.

The interior of this example is also truly remarkable especially considering its 33 years old. The original factory Gray leather with color-coordinated lower dashboard, door panels and carpeting is in excellent condition throughout. The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer with 6k-rpm redline, an analog clock and gauges for instant fuel economy, coolant temperature, oil pressure and fuel level. The heated power-adjustable front seats are sized like first class airplane seats and the seat extend automatically. The rear two contoured bucket seats have center armrest and center console with a burl-walnut paneled storage compartment. This cabin has many factory standard amenities making driving a pleasure. The carpeted trunk compartment is very spacious and clean throughout. The floor panel provides access to a full size spare and tools.

The factory original painted engine compartment is nicely detailed throughout. Sections of the firewall and inner fenders still have factory original Cosmoline which was added for protection. It still retains the factory original stickers and paint assembly markings. The original hood insulation was starting to deteriorate so it was replaced by MS CLASSIC CARS during the service process. The car is powered by the factory original 5.6L 8-cyclinder engine that is factory rated with 238 horsepower and 287 Lb-Ft of torque. The aluminum-alloy V8 engine runs and sounds excellent from the factory original exhaust system. The engine is coupled to the factory original 4-speed automatic transmission which shifts smoothly. The power is transferred to the limited-slip differential with a 2.47 gear ratio.

The undercarriage is very clean and nicely detailed throughout. It still has some of the factory original Cosmoline which was added for protection. It still retains the factory original stickers and paint assembly markings. From the information gathered the front brakes were replaced with 41,996 miles in 2014 and the rear brakes were replaced with 54,553 miles in 2018.

The original owner's manuals, original carpeted front floor mats, Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories car cover, 1991 Mercedes-Benz S-class brochure and The Boston Cup classic car show award are included.

That is a very nice example. These cars are immensely underappreciated by collectors. From an era when a M-B was built to a standard and not a cost.
