The car 12 bolt wasn't used until '65. '64 had the 8.2 10 bolt, but axle splines in '64 were a little different from '65 and later.

This rear was taken out of one of her 68 converts in 1974.
I put it back in after adding a 67 dated posi unit. The cover is not notched. Same as the other 68- 69 Chevelles here. Second pic is the car. She is second owner of it also.
