Great details!
You can see how thin the original engine paint was(the bright orange is a later addition) it really doesn't fill the grain of the casting - IT allows the heat to dissipate without blistering the paint.
I love the dripping yellow down the side of the pitman arm - I use an eyedropper to replicate runs like that.

I responded to your pvt msg - you may see this first Corvette Central is where I last purchased my no mark freeze plugs. Another person told me that they picked some up on ebay - but they came out of Great Britain.
