I helped put a cross ram and a 140 cam and the 142 springs (I think that was the part number) in an identical Z/28 in 1969 or 1970. Had American Racing 200s on it, 15x7 in front and 15x8 in the rear. It was gorgeous. Best color for a 68. Belonged to a really good friend of mine in HS who died in the fall of 71.
I don't even know if it had the 3.73 gear or a 4.10. I know he would wind first gear out to 8k and bang it into second. Never did blow it up. Car was stolen during our senior year. Never recovered.
There is a similar looking one in Edmond, OK right now, with standard interior. 302 with Brodix heads; dynoed at 530 hp.
