Certainly possible, especially if the '66 Toro' w/ ASC Sunroof was done for GM?
It'd be great if any vehicle history to substantiate the story could be found but disassembling/examining Roof components may yield date clues etc to compare w/ Cougar parts and learn whether it's possible or not?
Here's a link w/ some ASC History although 69/70 Chargers also others ASC did seem to be missing...
