There is a guy in *I believe* NC (could be Virginia or a neighboring state
) who did exactly that with a 59 Impala 2 dr hardtop. 348, can't recall for sure if it's a 3x2 or single 4bbl, manual trans, white w/ red interior. Brought it home from the dealer and put it up on blocks. Sometime in the 70's he bought a new home and drove the 59 to his new home. That's all it's ever been driven. When I saw the article in a car magazine many years ago, it had about 35 miles on it.
