The interesting thing is that the stick-shift, R/T version for 2009 has a 5.7 liter, 375 horse hemi engine while the auto gets the 370 horse version. The stick motored car also does not get the multi-displacement hemi that goes from 4 cyl to 8 cyl.
I would imagine they are going to upgrade the 425 horse SRT version very rapidly to the 392 hemi engine. That's a classic Viper marketing move: keep upping the power every year so you have to buy the next greatest version out of the factory or get sand kicked in your face at the beach.
