Update Sunday June 22....didn't make Carlisle for the car corrral, but we got her back together and running. Had a local shop help with the heavy work to re-install driveline, exhaust, etc. Still have a few squeaks and leaks to take care of...but it sounds real good. Here is a list of the recent improvements:
fresh gas tank
new rear brakes, hardware, wheel cylinders, axle seals
cleaned and inspected rear gears and posi...looks good. installed original 12 bolt cover, fresh oil and posi lube.
4 Kelly Super Charger 215/70R-14's mounted on the original dated rally wheels. Tires are like new.
new flex plate
fresh alternator and BB starter
new oem battery cables
New repro 4 core BB radiator
new GM fan shroud and flap kit
750 VS Holley rebuilt by Eric
new repro carpet installed
front and rear seats recovered with repro covers
Trans was completely gone thru by my local guy
installed original style BB exhaust with transverse muffler
new water pump
new belts
new heater hoses
new radiator hoses
correct style 660 thermostat housing
lots of other little stuff.....that's a little over $4,000 in parts and labor.
Still have to change p/s hoses, finish installing gauges, do some more cleaning and so on....we plan to bring it to US30 outside display and Nova Nationals. Lot's of L78 Novas out there for sale...but not many with completely original driveline and POP, window sticker and bill of sale....bulletproof!!
