It's funny, but I remember a high dollar restored 409 car on ebay a while back. IT had a fresh deck pad with the VIN on it. The owner had obviously sent the block out to one of those guys who provides a rebroaching and stamping service. The broach marks were straight just like a small block or MKIV. Here the guy paid big bucks to have it appear legit by a "professional", when all it did was leave a big footprint that it was a fake!
