There will never, ever be another SRV (my primary guitar influence, God rest his soul), or Robin Trower.
Seems like today, all guitarists care about is speed playing. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing
wrong with "shredding" (as I guess it's called these days), but it does get boring rather quickly. Compare that style to, say, B.B. King, who can hold one note for 16 measures, and it'll bring a tear to your eye.
THAT'S what music should be about, not flash and fretboard gymnastics.
