Long story short, my wife's dad is giving us a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II for a wedding present. He has the title but it hasn't been registered in 10 years. He just finished converting the car from a 4-door hardtop to a 2-door convertible and changed the color from blue to red. I know every state is a little different, but how do I register this car correctly. I assume I should get the title changed to say Red 2-door instead of Blue 4-door. Has anyone gone through this process and can give us some insight?
