well the one that was in the car (a 512 cast #) was a 302,it has a large journal steel crank,11:1 alum pistons,press in pins built just like a 68 302 with the correct cam (solid lifters) all gm stuff

just didnt have a 302 casting number on block,go figure that one huh.I even have the recipt from a chevy dealer for the CE engine when it was bought in 71.I also have the correct MO 67 block that I would rather put in,It has all the numbers and is date coded for my car but is a bare block and im trying to find parts for it.It is at the machine shop now getting cleaned up.Oh I might have someone for you to call about those exhaust manifolds with the correct part numbers,he is returning my call in a few min and I should know something soon.
