Thanks everybody for the compliments on the car. I do not think the car wants to get sold either. On Saturday I took the car to an informal car show that is held every Saturday morning at a doughnut shop by my house here in Huntington Beach. I took a little detour before I went home. It seemed that the car was starting to foul a plug or 2 so I thought a little drive down the street would help. The car stalled at a light and would not start for about 15 minutes. I got it started and limped home. It was running so rich that it used about a quarter of a tank in about 4 miles and fouled the plugs. I get to tear the carb apart this week and see what went wrong. This local car show is not Pavilions but I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of cars that just pop up out of nowhere. Pretty much everything ends by 8:30am or when our wives wake up. The power brakes work pretty close to what I would expect from a factory solid lifter motor. I have not measured the vacuum but I would say it works better than it did with the LS6 that I had in the car last year. The bigger problem was finding the right valve covers to look like they came from that era and clear the roller rockers and the power brake booster. The next problem is making sure the rally sport front end is leak free and hooking it up to the motor. I hope I have enough vacuum to run both.
