Talked to the original owner today. Nice guy. He bought the car off of the lot at Bennett Chevrolet in Allentown, PA in Fall of 1987. The dealer had put in the woodgrain kit (Don't you all fondly recall the days of those extra "dealer added value" window stickers?) He paid $18k for the car which stickers for $21K. He is going to check his papers to see if he has any of the original paperwork on the car. He said he never had a mechanical problem with the car in the 8 years he owned it and he never drove it in bad weather. Its hard to believe this car was buiilt 19 years ago. That was the year I graduated from college...boy am I old. At least the car has held up better than me!
