Removal of vin tag
I talked to a friend today who has his Challenger in a body shop having a rotisorie resto done. The dash was removed to send it to dash unlimited to be restored and as we all know the vin is riveted to the dash. It ends up that the Secretary of state police came in for the anual check up and seen no vin on the car, it sounds like it could be a problem even though the secondary vins are on the car and he has a good title. He was told that before removing the dash he should have called the sos and they would have someone come out to check it out, they then would have verified to be ok. It will be interesting to see what happens now.
