The cops were handing out cards to all the drivers that said,"NO BURNOUTS".
All the guys were disappointed but a few still got on it.
They got ticketed but didn't care - crowd was booing - cops didn't care either.
I don't know why they cut it this year, the story I heard was,
2 cops got shot that week & they were getting down on everyone.
The same thing happened up in NY when I was street racing there.
Cops wouldn't take any crap, I saw a few people wise off & get a beating for it.
We learned, give it time, it will mellow.
