Default Road America Vintage Races

This past weekend was the Brian Redman International Challenge held at Road America, Elkhart Lakes, WI. Road America is a 4-mile road course cut in the hills of central Wisconsin. The International Challenge is a weekend of vintage car racing featuring Can-Am cars from the late '60's/early '70's as well as many other 'groups' of vintage racers.

In the Group 6 races (one we all can relate to with 'Vettes, Camaros, Mustangs, Cobras, Jaguars, etc.) there was the worst wreck I have ever seen in a vintage race. Lots of damaged equipment (and egos) but fortunately no serious injuries. There were 60 cars in the field...16 of which were involved in the wreck. Here is a series of pics to give you a view of this terrible wreck.
