Default LEGALITIES...

The legalities go like this... we pay the taxes. Since we do not have any money the only reason why I considered doing this is because you do not pay taxes until next tax season. So I figured he would have plenty of time to figure that out. We have a home and 2 kids. I dont work. So we get back from taxes every year a few thousand dollars. Which is what I figured the tax bill will be. So it will be a "wash" for us. We wont get a refund and we wont be digging into our pockets.

We have a contract with Overhaulin' not to sell the car nor change anything for 1 year. My husband will NEVER sell this car. He has had it 24 years. It will never be sold. The only thing he wants to change is the steering wheel. Foose put an old Olds replica one on there. Its very big and thin. I remember Foose saying something about it before putting it on. I am not so sure he was real sure about it. So my husband is going to change the steering wheel when the year is up. To a smaller, thicker, sportier wheel. He wants one from Fooses shop or one to match the rims.

After the show, the front suspension settled a bit. So they changed the springs. That dropped the back end to low. So my husband went to the people who sponsored the springs and they gave him new ones for the BACK. He is going to raise the back end up today I think. He wants a little more of a muscle car stance to it. But not a big jacked look. The Overhaulin crew said this was fine. I also put in a request for a manual 5 speed. They did not have the time to do it properly in 7 days. So they opted out. Good thing, because now my husband is swaying more towards a GEAR VENDORs Overdrive and a floor shifter. Not stick shift. So we called the show, they said that we could do that. They just dont want to see major changes to the car, like dont change the paint or wheels or interior... And thats all the stuff my husband loves and would never even think of changing! So the show is pretty cool about things. The Overhaulin producer and Foose both told us if we need help with anything to call! So thats cool.

They have the right for 1 year to take the car with ample notice and trailer it to a car show. They said they would leave us a rental car too. Since this is not a vehicle he drives every day he wouldnt need a rental car. If they dont take it, they may just ask us to bring it if we can. If we cant, then they would come get it. So far they havent. Something was mentioned about it going to SEMA though. I dont know for sure.

The car insurance is minimal. Its a classic and not driven every day. I think our insurance went up $50 for 6 months. We had it insured for $8,000 before. Now it is insured for a safe $50,000. So $50 for 6 months wasnt bad. AT ALL. So the answer is no, they are not helping us pay the insurance. Its no thing.

Any more questions, just ask. AS GOAT SAID... I HAVE A BIG MOUTH AND WOMEN LIKE ME DONT KEEP TOO MANY SECRETS!!!!
xxoo GOAT72!

Its going on the cover of a magazine soon. Muscle Car Enthusiast.

ALSO: How did I get on the show you ask? I watched the FIRST episode ever, after watching the show I got online, found an application, downloaded it, told my story, sent it in before the second show aired. They called me within 2 weeks of me sending it. They say now they get approx 15,000 apps a week. Im sure I was not up against that many though back then.

ALSO: You asked why I refer to him as FOOSE. Many folks on the set called him that. All his shirts say FOOSE in large letters. He puts FOOSE in the paint scheme of his cars. So FOOSE just stuck and works for me. If I spoke to him directly I would surely address him as CHIP.

Take Care all.
