Default Re: F.A.S.T. Indiana Shootout

I keep having more and more of a blast with this Biscayne ! I was able to get in pretty consistent 13.4x times, with a best all day of a 13.42@104 . That is the best the car has run yet. I can complain a little bit about the washboard-esque starting line, giving me some wheel hop fits, but other than that I had a good time. If I could get it to leave just a little bit harder, the car would be movin' pretty good in my book ! I am simply AMAZED at how HARD this 427 pulls ! All of my 13.4x runs were shifting it at 65-6600 RPM ! That is with .024 intake, and .028 exhaust lash. (Thanks Pete !) Now if I could just get it weighed to have my curiousity fulfilled on how heavy this thing is, I'd be mucho-happy.

The best part was - - My Pure Stock 427/425 horse Biscayne was paired up against a Stock Appearing '70 LT-1 Corvette. I ended up beating him 2 outta 2.

I also met L78Impala (Bill Maloney) and his buddy, who are BigCar lovers too. Nice guys ! Hope to see y'all at future events !

PS - Rob .... I got some more information on the Nickey Biscayne that "popped" up in conversation by one of the spectators ......
