Default '70 Nova SS L34 discussion

Hi! I thought I'd try to consolidate the multiple discussions in different threads together on our Novas.

Someone had asked about the tag information that I have on my '70. The cowl tag is as follows:

ST 70 11427WRN048955 BDY
TR 733 14 14 PNT
09E A

The information on the upholstery sheet (what's left of it anyway) shows the following information:

Sequence: 320
Date: 10 03
Style: 11427
Plant: WRN
Trim: 733
Lwr & Upr: 14 14

A02 A04 A05 A51 B80 C08 M20 ZJ1 ZL3

The weird thing is that I do NOT have a vinyl roof or chrome drip moldings. I tracked down the original owner and he verified that he did not order or receive a car with those options.

He did order the 396 L34 option, four-speed, bucket seats, console, gauge package, black interior and silver paint. All of the equipment he mentioned is still there. I installed the SS rims as I liked them better, but I still have the factory steel 14 x 7 rims and dog dish caps. The rims are a dirty gray but if cleaned up would probably be that silver color.

The current color (Black Cherry) was chosen by the third owner that I bought the car from.

The gas line looks to be consistant (larger diameter) and held in place with a standard size clamp. It doesn't look like it could or should have had two fuel lines.

Here is some more information:

engine numbers: T0926 CTX 10W144xxx
transmission numbers: P OR05 A 10W144xxx
rear end numbers: CBS 10 01 E

The xxx just indicates the last three digits of my VIN, and it matches the numbers stamped on the engine and transmission housing.

Equipment and options include:

Super Sport conversion package
396 / 350 HP big block engine
Muncie 4-speed transmission
12-bolt positraction rear axle
bucket seats
floor console w/ gauges
speedometer w/ tachometer & clock
chrome door / quarter window trim
carpet & floor mats
deluxe interior trim
power front disc brakes / rear drum brakes
power steering

Thanks for checking out the information. All feedback and comments are appreciated.
