I guess I'll pass on the
eBay R59S battery but I'm still interested in how to interpret its date codes. Here is what the seller found:

...ink stamp on box is 11271, there are 2 melt stamps on the battery, one below the negative terminal is "J11" and one below the positive terminal is "28". hope this helps."
