Default Re: Paint color , will wrong color hurt the value

bkhpah,

Yes the MN Harrell car is Glacier Blue, code 53 53. Looking at the pic I have the bottom side of the trunk has 8 holes as if there were 4 bolts on each side on the mounting pedestals (surrounding a factory cut fifth hole). Can you post a copy of the pic from Val? I think the car may have been sold new at Bill Allen Chev., it was in Arkansas before coming to MN. One body # off the other documented 06A Harrell COPO.

BTW, You probably know this, Ed Black Chevrolet, Albuquerque, NM is a documented Harrell Performence Center Dealer. I have an original ad dated January 30, 1970, it is a 1/2 page ad showing the 69 FunnyCar, advertising "a 454 Cu. in. super safe street machine makes you the quiet-giant in hi-performance cars." Also lists Harry May Chevy of Monroe, Michigan, Bill Jacobs Chevrolet Joliet, Illinois, and Bill Kelly Chevy of Hallendale, Florida, along with most of the other known dealers.

Charlie,

Lets be easy on these new fellows, the above ad also states "Write for information on the Dick Harrell Hi-Performance Chevelle, Chevy II or Camero Today". They had trouble then, others still do today.
