Default Re: Reggie's COPO on ebay

Joe,

I don't know these cars as well as guys like you, Brian, Rob, Pete, et.al. do, but there were a few things that struck me as odd about this car.

You touched on two Joe... A defroster was absolutely mandatory on U.S. delivered cars from 1968 on so are we to gather that this is an export car (was a heater delete even available in 1969?). Heck, even L-88 Corvettes got them and they were mandatory heater delete cars before 1968.

The 140mph speedometer seemed strange too. Like you, I was always under the impression that in order to get this on a '69 427 Camaro, you had to order 9737. Are we correct, or was there some other way to get this.

The exhaust struck me as odd too. This is a very late car and chambered exhaust had long since been discontinued by this point. I wouldn't think a whole lot of it (it's a popular addition - even in cases where it might be less than correct from a restoration standpoint), but the impression that is being given is that this is a VERY correct car. Makes you wonder...

I like the Burnished brown though... Looks killer!

Regards,

Stan Falenski
