Small update today:
Spent some time restoring the Lakewood bars, 1 is complete, the other is blasted and will be finished by the end of the week. I’m waiting for a ton of parts to show up, including the leaf springs. I’m hopeful I can start putting the rear suspension back together next week.
Today I started the engine work. I’m working in kind of a tight area at the rear of my old dirt floor garage, but today I got the vertex magneto installed, installed new plugs gapped at .025, and installed plug wires but didn’t put them into the cap yet. I’ll wait for the wire separators to show up tomorrow and get everything sitting nicely before I cut and install everything.

If you read this and look at the included pictures, I understand this is stupid, especially on something I plan to street drive a lot, but I have the “correct” Dominators for this intake. Technically they’re Individual Runner 4500’s, the only model ever built for that. Ford used them on the Boss 302 trans am cars, AMC used them on the Javelin Trans Am car, Chrysler used them on IR Hemi’s. And several sets were used on Cleveland powered Panteras. Basically they’re supposed to be used like Webers. I’m going to try them on this. And if they absolutely suck to drive I’ll either switch to another set of Holleys or back to the Edelbrocks I don’t really like.

They may suck to drive. But they sure look impressive, and I’m hoping I can get them to work ok on this engine so I can use them on the stroker 360 when it’s done.

Should have another update around the end of the week or sometime next week. Also the Hemmings article is written and should be released in the next few weeks.

Thanks for reading.
