Well it looks like a plan is coming together for this motor. It is in fact going to go into my existing 55 Chev build and Nathan @ Sweet Ave Fabrication has agreed to build me another custom set of the M/T Scavengers style headers to fit into the chassis. That'll give it a bit of a day 2 twist with some clean vocals so folks can hear that camshaft and a good dose of compression to make it ping inside those collectors. Ordering a proper set of engine mounts and a pocket kit for the firewall on Monday and my painter will redo the firewall once it's altered up. Here's the project car and yes Chuck...it'll smoke those skinny little tires on demand. It'll be fun though.
I'll be pulling the 383 motor out of the car next week and that will be installed into my 71 Cheyenne K20 along with an overdrive trans and a new transfer case. Good thing I am retired now as this will keep me busy for a bit.
