Default Helmet "Hero" Wrecker

We recently obtained the 1976 F-350 Wrecker for the Helmet "Hero" Truck as we continue to gain momentum with the show. This truck has been in Weirton, West Virginia, since new and has an amazing story behind it, along with a great family of car nuts. This is a long story, but the reader's digest version is that I'm humbled to have found this '76 Ford with 59K original miles, and although repainted by the seller's late father, who was a master at his craft. After striking the deal and talking with the seller about me flying out to just drive it around the block, the seller happened to mention that, because of the recent storms in the area, he would hate to get it dirty as the truck hasn't been outside other than summer car shows in the area for....25 years!

Now comes the extra good stuff. After my inspection, as I was leaving the property, the seller handed me a folder with "Wrecker" handwritten across the top, and I just threw it on the rental car's dashboard. Once I arrived at the Pit airport and returned the rental, I sat down and opened the file to find the complete original owner's manual and documentation with March 1, 1976, as the purchase date. Amazing! : smile:
I'm going to try to upload some pictures to see.
