In reference to your query:

Here is a timeline of Huffstutler:

18 Apr 1946 B. H. Huffstutler was an service operator at Joe L. Motes Service Station and Garage in Birmingham. By 21 Apr 1948 was living in Carbon Hill

B. H. opened Huffstutler Chevrolet Company, Inc. Carbon Hill, Al. (Inc 5 Jun 1952 Dis. 6 Mar 1984) https://opencorporates.com/companies/us_al/000-756-420

9 Oct 1952 Had an ad in the Daily Eagle along with A.C.S. Chevrolet Jasper, AL (Inc. 31 Dec 1934 Dis. 12 Aug 1966 )

10 Oct 1956 Huffstutler in Carbon Hill from ad.

Leeds is about 75 miles from Carbon Hill on the other side of Birmingham.

No Ads until:

10 Jan 1957 Huffstutler in Leeds, ad showing Leeds

17 Jan 1957 Huffstutler in Leeds, in a used car ad mentions 'Formally Economy Chevrolet'. (Inc. 2 Jun 1947 Dis. 15 May 1984)

8 Sep 1957 Air Force Lt. Julius Billy Huffstutler was engaged. Once out of the service he will become associated with Huffstutler Chevrolet in Leeds.

10 May 1963 Huffstutler in Leeds, in an AC Delco Ad.

Then a gap in newspaper ads or mentions until:

10 May 1963 in another AC Delco Ad.

By 1963 The dealership had a lot in Leeds and Eastwood Mall at NE corner on Hwy 78

20 Jun 1966 B. H. Huffstutler 55 died in Leeds. The Dealership was Co-Owned with his son Charles O. Huffstutler. J. B. Huffstutler being the other son. The obit mentions that B. H. was in the automobile business in Birmingham and Carbon Hill before moving to Leeds in 1956.

22 Feb 1969 Huffstutler Chevrolet building is gutted by fire the day before. Fire was discovered by Police at 6:30 pm. The fire spread through the shop, showroom, parts department, and offices. Possibly caused by an explosion or gas leak.

There was a fb post with pictures of the Huffstutler dealership. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1561...2633334811221/

Looks like the pictures have been removed. I will post them below.

24 Feb 1969 Mastercard ad listing the address as 2700 1st Ave., S (Leeds) Also listed is Huffstutler-Walters Tire Co. 600 South 24th St. (Probably Birmingham)

Next ads are in the classifieds beginning 12 May 1971

I also looked into Leeds and Economy Chevrolet:

Leeds Chevrolet Co., Inc., Leeds, Al. (Inc. 24 Jun 1930 Dis. none still exists)

4 Jul 1930 First newspaper hit New Incorporations 'Leeds Chevrolet Co., G.H. Hayes, President.

Various ads through 7 Oct 1931. Then nothing.

Of course Leeds Chevrolet brings up tons of hits with both words in classified ads. Mainly Chevrolets for sale in Leeds. Ditto with Economy Chevrolet.

Economy Chevrolet Company, Inc. Brimingham, Al. (Inc. 2 Jun 1947 Dis. 15 May 1984) Operating since at least 1945.

25 Apr 1947 First newspaper hit. List of merchants taking part in Appreciation Days. Economy Chevrolet Co. From The Southern Aegis Ashville, Al.

24 May 1948 Mentioned Economy Chevrolet Co., Leeds, as a dealer for Dayton Tires.

15 Sep 1956 Last ad before the Huffstutler ad 17 Jan 1957 mentioning taking over Economy.

Nothing much after that.

Hope this helps,
Greg
