Wow I am Not a resto guy just an old drag racer , but have one that I’d probably restore completely some day. This question never even crossed my mind before reading it here , but it is really an interesting question. I mean theoretically you are returning the car to AS showroom NEW condition. So i feel like maybe you’d return it to how it would be in the showroom maybe 40 50 test drive miles.
My car has 15 k on it so it’s pretty low so it’s really a question I guess I’d have to ponder. I’d probably leave it but if it wasn’t so low IdK what I’d do
