The torque curve is very flat! I know oval ports make more torque... but this is pretty impressive. Good compression and these 074 heads make torque! I didn't want to go too big on the cam in order to avoid high valve spring pressures needed for solid roller stuff. I have no doubt these heads can support a lot more! My buddy Ross's 049 headed Mark Jones 467 does make about 50lb/ft more and 25 more horsepower. He does have a Edelbrock RPM intake manifold. There is no doubt Mark Jones is a true master cylinder head guru and porter. I am convinced the real hero of this build is what attracted me to it in the first place, the ported 074s. Hats off to Mr. Auto Spec. cylinder head guy, whoever you are
