FWIW, I think that Hagerty value is WAY too high. This white GTO does have an interesting history, but it no longer has its original engine (NOT a numbers matching car). In fact, it may be the
only GTO without its original engine.
I'll bet the bidding stalls well below those Hagerty numbers. A car like this has likely already been offered, privately, to several higher-profile, well-educated and well-heeled buyers. Being at Mecum means that those private buyers have already passed on it.
