Default 1971 Chevelle / GTO A-body PDB 409 BE master and booster cores

Hi Gang, I have this core 409 BE master cylinder and 1935 booster available.

The booster is nice and original and not beat up - stamped 1935 for 1971 Chevelle - and what I was told it was off of. The date code may be 207 - but when you look at it it appears to be stamped 2073 ?... not sure if that's an error, if it is, I've never seen that before, or if it's a trick of my eyes with a mark that looks like a 3 at the end... but maybe it's a mark at the front that looks like a two - because a date of 73 would line up better with the master - but I do know they didn't stamp leading zeros... so, look at the photo and judge for yourself I guess is what I mean. Took too long to type that to delete it...

Anyway, nice booster core with the correct, and original A1 stamp on the push rod and original clevis pin / hardware.

The 5470409 master is nice, with an original GM SAE J1703 Delco Brake Fluid lid... cast dated 61 with a BE broadcast code stamp - I would believe that this master has not been rebuilt as everything looks crisp and it hasn't had the life tumbled / blasted out of it - still very sharp details present under the grime... inside looks very nice, was removed from a recently unearthed barn find type of car.

I believe this is for A bodies like Chevelles primarily but I think may also cross to GTO Olds Cutlass and maybe even Firebird - the master anyway - and perhaps the booster - it interchanges of course, but not sure on the rest of that code's applications.

Either way, nice start here to restore or clean up with a sympathetic restoration, I think, to save some hard earned patina.

Cheers all,
Anthony
