Freddy, I did the same thing. I had 1970 512 block 454 and traded a perfect steel 454 crank for a 427 crank. The guy thought i was nuts. Sold the motor to buy a compressor. Now im having a 454 built to put in the Camaro.
I think the couple of converted 454 1969 Camaros are really off the hook cool.
