So what if the E-Ray still has a pushrod V8? I doubt that will enter my mind once while tooling down the road.

It definitely is. The Z06 is unlike any Corvette I've ever driven. It's crazy fast and the sound.....man the sound is killer. It's so loud inside the car! The Stingray is pretty quiet inside, even in Sport or Track mode but the Z06 is crazy loud inside while in Sport/Track mode.
The E-Ray will be great. The LT2 is a great engine and with the electric motors, it's more than most folks need anyway. The only "downside" I see to the E-Ray would be the carbon ceramic brakes. For a car that they want driven in the winter, CCBs aren't the most driver friendly choice. They do not want to work until they get warm so you have to make sure to brake early when they're cold.
