Drive across, throw it in the car, go shopping, lunch whatever....

Drive back across 3-4 hours later, they may not even ask you about it. Buy something that you want and take your chances...
All they will do is make you pay the duty, if they ask you about it .... Used parts for an antique car. It's not a big deal.
You can do it all yourself, you don't need a broker.
