68 Camaro - Whats it worth?
I have recently been offered a 68 Camaro from the original owner and I would like some help determining the market price for the vehicle. The car is a RS/SS 396 (L34) 4 speed car. It is matador red with a black vinyl roof and deluxe black interior. The drivetrain is original. The car came with 4 piston disc brakes up front but the original owner changed them to a modern set of discs as the originals were rusting whenever the car was being stored. He has the original disc brake setup in a box.
The interior is original and very presentable. The body is solid with no signs of rust. The original owner decided to stop driving the car and restore it in the late 70's. He had NOS GM full quarters leaded in at that time. The car was repainted 10 years ago due to someone hitting the front right fender. The paint looks great.
I have documentation for the vehicle proving that it is in fact a RS/SS 396 car.
I am looking for advice as to a fair price for myself and the seller. I realize that it is hard to put a value on the car without seeing it but I am looking for a ballpark figure so i don't get in over my head.
