Bummer story - the builder had a stroke and could no longer drive this car, so he sold it to the dealer who's selling it now (and if that isn't motivation for us to go out and enjoy our cars NOW, I don't know what is).
I'd want to bring the overall look into a more period-correct early 1970s look, but overall this one has a lot of potential if it can be had at a fair price....
