Hello All,
Just wanted to let you know about an upcoming event at the Indy500. On May 17-19 2019, which is Qualifying Weekend (and I believe also coincides with Mecum Indy), the Indianapolis 500 Museum is organizing a Camaro Pace Car Reunion. The Museum owns every Camaro Pace Car from 1982 forward, and has coordinated with the owners of the earlier Pace Cars to attend as well. This will be the first time that every Pace Car Camaro has ever been in one location at the same time. Visitors can attend the event as part of the track’s daily General Admission pass, and those tickets can be purchased in advance or even at the gate. But further, the organizers have opened this event to include 150 Camaro Pace, Festival, and factory-original replicas. The details are still forming, but the highlight of this participation will be a parade lap around the track. While this year marks the 50th anniversary of the 1969 race, and the museum will include a special display in honor of Mario Andretti and his historic win that year, all years of authentic Camaro Pace Cars are invited. If you have a Camaro that fits this category you must submit your application by March 22nd. Below is the Press Release for this event, and also here’s a link to their General Admission ticket website:
