Here is a pic of the Goodyear spare in the Opel.
It maynot be the original.

Looks like May of 1969 (J for 1969, Y for May).

I also have the build sheet for the car and it left the factory April 9, 1969 (09.04.1969... Europe lists day month year instead of month day year).

Curious if anyone know whether Goodyear tires manufactured over seas (Germany) would have used the same date coding. Seems strange they would use something different.

If it is the same, then this tire was purchased early in the car's life, but would not be the original spare.
