Why did they go with IRS? Even the COPO Camaro went with a solid axle Ford 9". I know that these are street legal but last time I checked solid axles were not against the law for street cars. These cars were not meant for road racing or sharp handling so as long as they meet the minimum requirement for stability control they should be fine with a solid axle. That aluminum center section has no where near enough strength. At least make it out of nodular iron.
