Not totally related, but reminds me of a story:
There was a development engineer that got pulled over for speeding in an experimental GM vehicle.
He told the officer: "...see that speedometer there? It just got calibrated with a fifth wheel!"
The officer replied: "see that radar gun there? It just got calibrated with a tuning fork!!"
