3.55 M20 with the LT1 is just great all around gearing, but has taken time to get used to... the Black and Blue 69 Z's both had M20's with 4.10's - they were brutal off the line but were screaming by 60-70mph.
The 3.55 is fine off the line, but really fun when you come into a tight bend and do a quick down shift from 3rd to 2nd let out the clutch letting the engine drag you down... and then slowly add as you come through the apex - rolling hard onto the throttle, the tail just squats and the car just straightens right up as the secondaries begin to roar, BAM into 3rd and back into it - now finally a chance to look at the speedometer you see- 70-75MPH and have to back off... lol
- too much fun.
